Shannen Doherty wants to have babies.
"We want kids," Doherty, 41, told me the other day while promoting Shannen Says, her new reality show premiering tomorrow on WE tv. "When that happens? We don't really know. I think right now we're enjoying just the two of us.
"My husband said something beautiful to me the other day," she continued. "He said, 'The only thing I care about is whatever I go through in life, it's with you. Whether we have kids or not, as long as I'm with you, I'm going to be happy and fulfilled.' "
This is Doherty's third time getting hitched. She and Ashley Hamilton divorced after seven months together in 1994, and her seven-month marriage to Paris Hilton's future sex tape costar boyfriend Rick Salomon was annulled in May 2003.
"I've definitely found my soul mate," Doherty gushed. "I've found my partner. He's a good one—and it's about time."
Reality shows seem to be a trend for the women of the original 90210. As everyone knows, Tori Spelling has built a mini empire of reality programming, and fresh from her split from Peter Facinelli, Jennie Garth will star in a CMT series about ditching Hollywood to live on a farm.
"My mother said to me, 'George Clooney does a coffee commercial in Colombia—does that make him a commercial actor? No!' " Doherty said. "Everybody has to earn a living. If that coffee commercial buys his house in Italy, then good for him. If this gives me the opportunity to provide for my family more or for college for how many kids I have or adopt, then great!"
