No, it's not a Saturday Night Live spoof—but it might as well should be.
After teasing fans with a preview of her new country song, "Love Me First," earlier this month, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak-Biermann's unleashed the whole shebang this morning with its world premiere at RyanSeacrest.com.
Listen to the full track here.
The reality TV trainwreck and wannabe popster told Seacrest the lyrics draw on experiences from her life 11 years ago (not, you know, the drama she's been causing lately on her Bravo TV show) to paint an inspirational portrait of self-affirmation as evidenced by the tune's title.
"And I'm a believer and overachiever/Ain't no need in sacrificing your dreams/You can start a brand new life," she intones in a low voice (in a style that's more talk-singing than singing). "Now I'm leaning every day there ain't no other way/Before I love somebody else gotta love me first."
A gospel singer at one point accompanies the 33-year-old Zolciak on the ballad, which is a far cry from her last two musical offerings, the cringe-worthy club anthems "Google Me" and "Tardy for the Party."
Memo to Kim: don't quit your day job.
Along with the new ditty, the tube personality is also expecting her second child this summer with her NFL footballer hubby, Kroy Biermann. The couple is also starring in their own Bravo reality spinoff, Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding, premiering in April.
