Just making sure the paparazzi aren't on A-Rod's payroll…

The estranged wife of New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has demanded that her hubby's camp come clean on whether it's made any attempts to have her followed or to listen in on her conversations to add fuel to their already fiery divorce proceedings.

According to a routine motion filed last week in Miami-Dade Circuit Court, Cynthia Rodriguez is asking for any tape recordings, photographs, reports from investigators and all other evidence of shadowing "or other electronic surveillance conducted by [Alex] or others on [his] behalf." Already a celebrity wife in the sporting world, Cynthia made it to the big leagues herself this month after the NYC and Hollywood tabloids caught on to a possible A-Rod-Madonna connection. After that blew up in the Big Apple's face, Cynthia ended up making headlines after fleeing to Paris to seek solace with longtime pal Lenny Kravitz.

The "It Ain't Over Till It's Over" singer has adamantly denied sharing any more than a friendship with Rodriguez, calling it "extremely hurtful" to be pegged as an adulterer.

The ticked-off wife of baseball's highest-paid player, who's busy right this minute starting at third base for the American League All-Star team, filed for divorce last week, citing her husband's alleged infidelity and emotional abandonment of his wife and two children.

Meanwhile, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are hanging tough, although the pop icon astutely opted to pass on attending tonight's 2008 All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium.
