Yes, we know. You're very fracking annoyed right now.
An action-packed trailer for the avidly nerd-awaited Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was screened at WonderCon this past weekend, then quickly went viral on YouTube, but just as fans were getting stoked to watch the planned prequel, the clip was yanked from YouTube.
Now, more bad news...
The show will not become a new series on Syfy.
The reason the trailer was pulled from YouTube was because it was never vetted by Syfy and cleared for public consumption, per Deadline.
Still, the pilot sounds like it will end up as a one-shot movie for the network.
"Though the vision for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome has evolved over the course of the past year, our enthusiasm for this ambitious project has not waned," Mark Stern, Syfy's chief programmer, said in a statement.
"We are actively pursuing it as was originally intended: a groundbreaking digital series that will launch to audiences beyond the scope of a television screen. The 90-minute pilot movie will air on Syfy in its entirety at a future date."
Great! Because unauthorized or not, the trailer—which is still working on some sites, as you see from above—looks awesome.
So say we all.
