Emma Roberts and Kate Mara were some of the young'uns in attendance yesterday at the Salvatore Ferragamo launch for their new Signorina scent at Palazzo Chupi in NYC. Other celeb attendees included Piper Perabo and AnnaSophia Robb.

Kate, 29, looked like she was off to roast a pig at a luau rather than attend a high end fragrance launch. She wore the designer's own colorful botanical halter dress and a pair of chic platform pumps—the only piece she forgot is a lei! We're sad to say that not even those killer pumps can take this ensemble from Maui to wowie.

As for Roberts' choice of ensemble...

The 21-year-old Valentine's Day star fares better in this head-to-toe Ferragamo ensemble: a simple white bow blouse, cuffed black trousers and blue satin shoes. Simple and lovely.

Ferragamo has struggled in the past with its appeal to young women, but will the launch of Signorina—which in Italian literally translates to "young unmarried woman"—be enough to save the brand from fashion horror stories like this one?

Let's hope so.
