The next time you're getting a Slurpee, be sure to look around. You may just end up seeing Michelle Obama.
During her appearance Monday on the Late Show With David Letterman, the first lady was asked how much freedom she has when it comes to going out, say, for an impromptu run to 7-Eleven.
"I technically could. It would drive a lot of people crazy," said Obama when asked by Letterman about going to the popular convenience store, adding with a laugh: "I've threatened to do it; I do it all the time. I've said 'I'm walking out that door. I'm leaving.' And you see [Secret Service] people talking into their wrists—'She's kidding, right?' "
Obama, though, did admit to covertly venturing out to places like Target and Petco, which naturally led into a conversation about the first pooch, Bo.
"He is the smartest dog in the world," beamed Obama, before explaining how he expresses his need to go for a walk.
"He will come up and put his paw on your leg and he kind of nudges you. And then you're like, 'What do you want?' And he gets excited. And you say, 'You want to go out?' And then he starts barking."
"Is that what Biden does?" inquired Letterman.
"No," replied a smiling Obama.
