After weeks and weeks of rehearsals, diva attitude and more rehearsals, Marilyn: The Musical is ready to make its workshop debut. And as you Smash fans know, the workshop is a make-or-break moment for our Marilyn team.

And lucky for you guys, we've got an exclusive first look at the big moment. Plus, Bernadette Peters makes her entrance…

Before hitting Broadway, Marilyn needs to go through out of town tryouts. But before out of town tryouts, Marilyn needs to lure investors and the like backing the show. And the only way to do that is with a run-through of the show in front of an audience. Is the musical ready? Better question: Is Ivy ready?

In this sneak peek from next week's episode, appropriately titled "The Workshop," Ivy (Megan Hilty) takes center stage with "Let Me Be Your Star," with her Broadway legend mom (Peters) watching like a hawk. But the intriguing part about the number is how it ends. Perhaps foreshadowing what's to come?

Take a look at the clip below, and then head on down to the comments for more Team Ivy versus Team Karen (Katharine McPhee) debates.

Smash airs Monday nights on NBC (NBC and E! are both part of the NBCUniversal family).
