Why Are Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill Talking About Matthew McConaughey's "Exceptional Junk"?

We are so friggin' jealous of Jonah Hill right now.

But it's not because he was nominated for an Oscar or that he's friends with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

And nope, it's got nothing to do with the very good chance that 21 Jump Street, his new flick with Channing Tatum, is going to be a big box office hit this weekend...

Hill has seen most of—get ready for it!—Magic Mike, Tatum's upcoming male stripper movie costarring Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Adam Rodriguez.

Sure, the funnyman may not appreciate the flick in ways that we will, but Hill says, "It's amazing. It's such a unique movie. It's something you haven't seen—a world that movies have not gone far into, if at all."

I caught up with Hill and Tatum yesterday at South By Southwest, where 21 Jump Street had its world premiere last night at the Paramount Theatre in Austin.

A reboot of the '80s television series of the same name, it's now a wild—and hilarious—big-screen action comedy. The two play young cops who go undercover as high school students to bust up a drug ring. And they wore police uniforms to the premiere!

They did most of their own stunts. Hill is most proud that he learned how to slide across the hood of a car after many painful attempts. Tatum burned his face when he was hit by a flying bullet casing during a shootout scene. "I pretty much shot myself in the face," Tatum said.

As I first told you, Hill is already writing the a sequel. "We would love nothing more than to make another one," Hill said.

And we would love nothing more than to see Magic Mike already. When I mentioned that Olivia Munn recently told me about how much of McConaughey's "junk" we see in one particular dance sequence, Tatum laughed, "There's a lot of junk hanging in this movie—not just Matthew's. But he does have some exceptional junk in the movie."

Hill cracked, "That was the working title of the movie—Exceptional Junk!"
