Alec Baldwin is on a 30 Rock roll, but he's about to screw it up. A.B. will guest on The View next week promoting his new half memoir/half how-to tome, A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce. Does he think we're on crack?

Baldwin's book is about dealing with supermessy splits involving kids, something Al-hon has zero talent in. Hell, we feel like we have better sage notes on his damn big D since A.B. and his ex, Kim Basinger, back-and-forth bitched for all the public to witness all those deliciously gossipy years. Then, far more sadly, 'course, we horrifically felt caught in the middle as much as daughter Ireland in that infamous voice-mail debacle, in which poor Ire got called names we're not going to repeat, because she didn't ask to be the celeb here, Dad did.

Baldwin's about as qualified as Lynne Spears writing a book on motherh—oh wait, too late for that one. Stick to making us laugh on your sitcom, Al. There's a team of writers putting your words in your mouth for ya, works far better that way, trust.

Oh, and good luck Sunday. Schmuck.
