But making movies is not the only thing the freshly minted Oscar winner has going on...
The Help star tells me she's shopping around for a publishing deal for a series of children's books.
"They're books about sleuthing," Spencer told me at the Academy Awards. "I'm a detective by nature. I have one book written and two that are already being mapped out."
Let's just hope she doesn't get too much inspiration from what she calls her "murder and mayhem" television.
"I'm a huge forensics person," Spencer says. "I watch all the case study shows. I love them."
Back in the movie world, could Spencer be reteaming with some of her Help cohorts for another collaboration? Brunson Green, one of the Oscar-nominated producers of the movie, tells me he's developing "really cool projects—some possibly with members of The Help."
