And that's exactly what he did last night when the twosome hit Elton John and David Furnish's annual Oscar viewing party in West Hollywood.

Cyrus and Hemsworth sat at a table with fellow celebs Brooklyn Decker and Mechad Brooks.
They were affectionate throughout the night, holding hands, stealing kisses and putting their arms around each other's shoulders while watching the Academy Awards telecast and enjoying the multi-course dinner prepared by Cat Cora. They stuck around for about four hours before heading to the Sunset Tower Hotel bash.
Sir Elton's auction included an impromptu performance of Cora rapping while Neil Patrick Harris and E!'s own David Burtka beat-boxed beside her. Katy Perry and New York Giants owner Steve Tisch joined together to pay $100,000 for a private cooking lesson with the celeb chef.
By the end of the night, the benefit auction raised—get ready for this!—$5.25 million dollars for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Other stars at the bash included Chace Crawford, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Steven Tyler, Zachary Quinto, Gwen Stefani, Matthew Morrison, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer and Adam Lambert.
Meanwhile, Meryl Streep celebrated her big win at the Weinstein Company's party at Chateau Marmont with a Fatburger cheeseburger (we kid you not!) in the Dewar's VIP area. Colin Firth, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Joel McHale, Harvey Weinstein and four-legged Artist star Uggie were also at the soiree.
Over at Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity bash in the Hollywood Hills, Kellan Lutz hung out with a group of guy pals while a newly rehabbed Gerard Butler mingled with the ladies.
Back in Hollywood, Fox Searchlight partied at House. Alexander Payne and his co-writing winners Nat Faxon and Jim Rash walked into the club to a big round of applause and cheers. Darren Criss was also there, as was Descendants costars Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller. Jessica Chastain reunited with her young Tree of Life son, Tye Sheridan, with a big hug and chat on a banquette.
The Governors Ball immediately following the ceremony was a free-for-all—for the first time, guests could sit wherever they wanted because there was no assigned seating.
Sandra Bullock and Streep held tight with their agent Kevin Huvane while Michael Douglas chatted with Oscars producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer. The room practically parted to allow Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied to make their way to the back of the bash.
But one of favorite pairings of the evening—Kristen Wiig and Emma Stone, who we saw chatting by the Moët & Chandon bar.
