Is Bridesmaids' Melissa McCarthy Going to Miss the Oscars?!

Reports emerged Friday that the comedic actress has fallen ill

Say it isn't so!

Just a couple of days before her big Academy Awards debut, news broke that Melissa McCarthy has fallen ill, causing her to miss out on a pre-Oscars shindig Thursday.

But does that mean we also won't see the Bridesmaids funnygal at the Oscars (and more importantly, is she OK)?!

Luckily, things are looking up for that Oscars appearance so far.

Whew.

A rep for Seventh Annual Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film event told Us Weekly McCarthy missed the bash because she was placed on strict vocal rest to allow her to recover in time to hit the Academy Awards Sunday.

"We were so sad not to have her there, but she needs to rest up to be healthy for the Oscars," an event staffer told the mag.

According to the Washington Post, the comedy star has reportedly been suffering from laryngitis.
