The voice of an angel has made a deal with the devil.

British songstress Charlotte Church is the latest celebrity to settle with Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers in London's High Court over claims its reporters unlawfully hacked into her phone.

Per the BBC, the settlement was reached just days before Church's case was scheduled to go to court. No word how much she'll be receiving, but if prior payouts are anything to go by, it's likely to be in the six-figure range along with legal fees.

The 25-year-old singer accused employees of Murdoch's now-defunct News of the World tabloid of hacking into her voicemails and running stories that caused major distress to her and her family, including an article about her father having an affair that prompted her mother's attempted suicide.

On another occasion, Church alleged the Sun newspaper broke the news of her pregnancy before she could even tell people closest to her after they kept her under constant surveillance.

All told, her suit asserted that 33 stories were written based on information gathered from invading her privacy and illegally eavesdropping on her voicemail messages.

Charlotte also alleged that at the age of 13 she was offered over $156,000 to sing at Murdoch's 1999 wedding in return for positive press in his papers.

Church's camp could not be reached for comment.

But her settlement comes a month after Jude Law, his ex-wife Sadie Frost, and Cheryl Cole's ex-hubby Ashley Cole were among a group of 36 victims who came to a financial arrangement with Murdoch's News Corp. to end litigation in the phone-jacking matter. Law's former gal-pal Sienna Miller won a $162,000 judgment last May and a formal apology from NOTW editors.

With an estimated 700 victims in the hacking scandal still to go, it looks like Murdoch and company have their work cut out for them.
