Leslie Carter is finally resting in peace.

E! News has exclusively learned that the 25-year-old sister of Nick and Aaron Carter was laid to rest in a modest funeral that took place over the weekend.

The burial took place Sunday at roughly 4 p.m. at Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, N.Y. The Chautauqua County cemetery was not far from her father's home in upstate New York, the same residence in which she was found less than a week before.

"It was a very wonderful and touching ceremony," a source told E! News.

Among the 60 or 70 mourners in attendance were Aaron and mother Jane, though Nick was unable to attend the funeral owing to performance commitments he'd made in New York and Pennsylvania.

Before attending the service, Aaron took time out to pay tribute to his sister.

"The truth will reveal itself," he tweeted yesterday morning. "I Love you Leslie soo very very very very very much!! virtually no words. You will always be my best friend."

An official cause of death is still pending for the onetime House of Carters reality star pending toxicology results, though an initial police report indicated that her death may have been caused by an overdose of prescription medication.
