While a few rappers have spent some time in the big house, others have aspirations for the White House.

The latter is the case for this particular hip-hop star, who declared recently that he wants to play President Barack Obama if a film were ever made about his life.

So, which Grammy nominee thinks he could pull off a killer impression of the commander in chief?

Drake

None other than Drake.

"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him. That's the goal," Drake told VH1. "I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don't change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I'm pretty good at impressions."

"I've been reading scripts for a while," Drake went on. "I want to do something great. I want to do something for my culture: The younger people who are still in tune with everything going on. I'm actually writing with my friends right now."

Before Drake's rap career catapulted him into superstardom, the 25-year-old Canadian was making a name for himself as wheelchair-bound Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, among other acting gigs.

We know Drake can carry a tune…But do you think he can really pull off a super smooth Al Green number like President Obama?

Sound off in the comments.
