Homeland's Claire Danes Honored as Harvard's Hasty Pudding 2012 Woman of the Year!

Actress receives Pudding Pot for her "indelible mark on the world of entertainment, in both drama and comedy"

First a Golden Globe, now a Pudding Pot? Claire Danes' 2012 is off to a great start!

As you can see by the grand celebration, the 32-year-old Homeland star was honored today at Harvard University as Hasty Pudding's 2012 Woman of the Year.

So why did the Hasty Pudding Theatricals choose Danes as this year's award recipient?

According to their mission statement, the actress' work "has made an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, in both drama and comedy."

Past honorees include Anne Hathaway, Renée Zellweger, Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansson.

On Feb. 3, Jason Segel will receive his Pudding Pot as Hasty Pudding's Man of the Year.

From My So-Called Life and Freaks and Geeks to accolades in the Ivy League! Angela Chase and Nick Andopolis turned out just fine.
