Katy Perry Unfollows Russell Brand on Twitter

Sign of the times: pop superstar truly seems to be moving on from her estranged hubby, and no longer keeps up with his tweeting exploits

Tweet ya later! Turns out, Katy Perry doesn't need 140 characters to make a big Twitter statement. She just needs the unfollow button.

The pop superstar certainly seems to have her mojo back in working order and is as determined as ever to put her marriage to Russell Brand behind her, having not only returned to the road this week, but officially unfollowed her estranged hubby on Twitter.

Which, in this social media-obsessed climate of ours, is as about as strong a statement as she could've made. So, did Brand reciprocate?

Not yet.

While the "Firework" singer is no longer keeping abreast of Mr. Rusty Rockets' comings and goings (can't say we blame her…they can't all be Demi and Ashton), a look through Brand's account shows that his former missus is indeed among the 78 tweeters that the British funnyman is still following.

For now, of course. Considering he last updated his account on Jan. 5, it might not exactly reflect his current state of mind.

Katy, meanwhile, seems to have gotten back to embracing her Twitter page after a brief, understandable absence, tweeting just today about her excitement over the final date of her California Dreams tour this weekend.
