Can you feel the love tonight?

Um, not if the evening in question was last night and we're talking about Madonna and David Furnish.

It seems Elton John's significant other wasn't exactly pleased that his man lost out to the Material Girl in the Best Original Song category during Sunday's Golden Globes.

Of course, that's putting it mildly...

"Madonna. Best song???? F--k off!!!" wrote an irate Furnish on his Facebook after Madonna's tune "Masterpiece" from her directing effort, W.E., was awarded a statuette.

Yet Furnish didn't just slam the win, adding that "her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism."

He also went on to knock the Globes in general, saying that Madonna's win "truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit."

Oh, and those comments Madonna made last week about Lady Gaga, the godmother of Furnish and John's son? You know, the ones where she says that Mother Monster's "Born This Way" sounds "very familiar" to her own "Express Yourself?"

Wrote Furnish: "And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is."

Sounds like somebody did a little bit of expressing himself.
