Madonna's on the red carpet?! Yeah, we were shocked, too.

The singer, and newly minted director, showed up at the 2012 Golden Globes and stopped to chat with Ryan Seacrest about her film W.E. (which earned her a Globe nom and win for Best Original Song for "Masterpiece").

So what'd she tell us?

Well, when it came to her film that she wrote and directed, Madonna admits it was more than she bargained for.

"I had no idea that it was going to be so challenging, complicated, exhausting and fulfilling."

Andrea Riseborough, who was alongside the star, called Madonna a very passionate director, even if she can come off as "intimidating."

So we have to wonder, what will this passionate yet intimidating woman bring to the Super Bowl for her halftime performance?

"I can't tell you what I'm going to do because then it'll blow the surprise. Twelve minutes and 40 seconds to put on the greatest show on Earth."

Yup, and the additional 40 seconds was her idea.
