Nick Cannon is on the mend—and should be on his way home soon!

The America's Got Talent host, hospitalized earlier this week with kidney failure, underwent an apparently not-too-invasive procedure today and was doing well enough afterword to update fans on his condition himself.

"Just left the operating table and I was awake during the whole procedure. #OUCH," tweeted Cannon, who, as Mariah Carey's latest twitpic shows, is keeping his IV close but his gadgets closer.

"Thank you everyone for all the love & concern," Carey wrote Friday. "Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he'll be discharged within 2 days. As always he's laughing and in good spirits."

While the causes of kidney failure run far and wide, reports have indicated that severe dehydration was to blame for Cannon's health crisis. He was originally hospitalized in Aspen before being transferred to a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday.

We wish him the very best and a quick recovery.
