If only Ivan Drago had been there to take the brunt of the impact for her.
Rocky IV and Red Sonja star Brigitte Nielsen was hospitalized in L.A. Thursday night after being involved in a 3-car pileup caused by someone who was allegedly under the influence.
Here's what happened.
Nielsen's publicist tells E! News the accident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. in the Hollywood Hills when a woman driving a Toyota Matrix rear-ended the 2006 Porshe Cayenne the 48-year-old actress was a passenger in, causing it to smack into the car in front of her.
According to the rep, the crash caused the airbag to be deployed. Nielsen was unable to move and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where she had X-rays and a CAT scan done, was treated for a bump to the head and released.
"Everything is fine," said the rep. "Brigitte has a big bump on her forehead and is resting at home. She is sore and in shock."
As for the driver of the Matrix, Nielsen's publicist says the woman was drunk and had an 11-year-old boy in the car with her.
An LAPD spokesman confirmed to TMZ that officers at the scene administered a Breathalyzer which registered well above California's legal limit of 0.08, and the suspected drunk driver was arrested.
No other details were available, but we're glad to hear Brigitte is doing OK.
