Christmas has come early, Santana fans!
So what's this about Helen Mirren coming to Glee?
Sources confirm that Oscar winning dame is guest starring on the hit Fox series in the upcoming episodes in the new year, as first reported by TVLine. She'll be playing the "inner voice" of a character, and our money is totally on Sue Sylvester. Or Emma Pillsbury. Or...wait a minute...Lord Tubbington, anyone?! Brittany's cat? Could that be any better? We think not.
As for what's ahead for Glee, Naya tells us: "Gloria Estefan is playing my mom so I'm really excited for that, it's like a huge honor. I'm sure she will [sing]. You cant let that go! [laughs]"
And let the record show that Naya was the most excited of anyone on set for Nene's casting. "I'm a huge fan of all of the Housewives franchises. So when I found out that NeNe was coming I was obviously was flipping out and then I got to meet her and she's awesome, she's very sweet."
We also hear the entire Glee cast flipped out when Mirren recently made a surprise appearance on set. Anyone else just as surprised by her casting?
And now, we've saved the best Santana present of all for last. Fox just released a video of Naya's "Santa Baby" performance, which was cut from last week's Christmas episode of Glee. Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santana Claus! Treat yo'self...
