Thoughts of motherhood are strutting through Naomi Campbell's head.

The catty catwalker revealed at a charity event during London Fashion Week recently that she had been unable to conceive before having surgery earlier this year, ostensibly to have a cyst removed from her abdomen.

"Until March, I wasn't able to have kids. Now I can," Campbell, revealing a softer side, told reporters, according to Britain's Press Association. "They thought it was a cyst. When they opened it up they realized it was more."

Following the procedure at Sirio Libanes hospital in São Paolo, Brazil, the supermodel's camp said she had a small cyst removed, and medical personnel issued a statement further tightening the lid on the status of Campbell's condition.

While last year's Fashion for Relief event benefited flood victims, Campbell teamed with Sarah Brown, the wife of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, to raise funds for the White Ribbon Alliance, which serves to promote the health of pregnant women and their young families after they've given birth.

"As a woman myself [who] wants to have kids, it's a given that I'd want to be involved in something like this," Campbell said. "I love children. Giving birth is bringing a new energy into the world."

"I was not able to have children up until March," the British beauty added. "Now it's in God's hands. I would love to have a family but it's up to God. I do want to have kids. I'm 38 years old."
