Josh Charles is used to grilling witnesses on the stand as lawyer Will Gardner on the hit show The Good Wife. Now, he's taking a stand.

The Emmy-nominated actor, who also made People's Sexiest Men Alive issue, is teaming with the Human Rights Campaign for their Americans for Marriage Equality campaign—and we've got his exclusive video PSA dedicated to the cause!

"You don't need a law degree to understand fundamental fairness," Charles says in the video.

According to several polls, 53 percent of the American public supports marriage for same-sex couples, and HRC is partnering with prominent Americans to help raise that number. "Everyone should have the right to marry the person they love," Charles states.

"Like most Americans, Josh Charles believes all couples should have the opportunity to say ‘I do,'" says HRC President Joe Solmonese. "Loving gay and lesbian couples should be able to express their commitment to each other, and strengthen their families through marriage."

Others who have filmed ads for the Americans for Marriage Equality campaign include Mo'Nique and John Leguizamo.
