We're talking about Lance Cpl. Jonathan Burkett, who last night was joined by the reality star at his battalion's annual ball.
The Camp Pendleton-based Marine tweeted Cavallari an invite to the Marine Corps Ball back in August, when YouTube propositions were at their height (he couldn't tape himself as he was deployed at the time). Within a half-hour Cavallari accepted and last night was the belle of the ball, turning up alongside the 25-year-old Burkett at the Pechanga Casino and Resort in Temecula, Calif. She was among the 1,600 Marines and their dates at the event.
While both the Laguna Beach alum and Burkett were tweeting their excitement in the days and even hours leading up to last night's event, it seemed to go off without a hitch.
"@KristinCav Thank you for an amazing time!" he tweeted last night, after leaving the event. "Def has a blast!!! Glad you got to enjoy the Marine Corps ball!"
Being the officer and gentleman that he is, he also fter teweeting their excitement in the days and even hours leading up to last night'offered thanks to Jay Cutler for the one-night loan of his girlfriend.
"@JayCutler6 hey man glad she was able to come! You have an awesome gf and hopefully wife!" he tweeted this morning.
"Thanks man," came the reply. "She is the best. We appreciate all your sacrifices. Let me know if I can ever help with anything."
"Keep playing well and ho able to come! You have an awesome gf and hopefully wife!" he tweeted.
For her part, Kristin seemed equally pleased to take part in the event.
"Had a great time at the marine ball with @JBurkett86," she wrote. "Sorry I haven't posted pics yet. Will tomorrow I promise!"
