Season two American Idol winner Ruben Studdard has filed for divorce from wife Surata Zuri McCants.
The reason?
Studdard cited "complete incompatibility of temperment" on his divorce petition.
The twosome apparently just grew apart. As his publicist, Jocelyn R. Coleman, explains to E! News: "Ruben and Zuri have gone their separate ways."
Studdard and McCants dated for two years before marrying back in June 2008 in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., at the Canterbury United Methodist Church with—get this—20 groomsmen by his side.
Here's to hoping all 20 are there to support the singer during this tough time.
