Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner aren't altar-bound, after all.

The former Melrose Placers, who announced in August that they planned to walk down the aisle after four years of dating, today confirmed to E! News that the engagement is off.

So what's the reason?

According to Locklear's publicist, Cece York, the couple did not specify why the wedding was off—let alone whether they're still in a relationship. A rep for Wagner was unavailable for comment.

Had the duo gone through with the nuptials, it would've have marked the third marriage for Locklear and the second for Wagner.

She was hitched for seven years to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee before divorcing in 1993. She subsequently tied the knot with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The two divorced in 2010 and share custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Ava.

Wagner—who played Dr. Peter Burns for five seasons on Fox's prime-time soap and now works on daytime's The Bold and the Beautiful—was previously married to his former General Hospital costar Kristina Wagner, with whom he has two teenage sons. They filed for divorce twice but the latter attempt didn't stick until 2006.
