Kate Middleton will soon be flying solo again.

Prince William's bride will have to represent for the royal couple while her husband heads to the Falkland Islands for active work with the Royal Air Force, per the U.K.'s Ministry of Defence.

So when's he going? And will he be in danger?

Wills, known in the RAF as Flight Lieutenant William Wales, is currently based in Anglesey, but will head to the Falklands early next year.

According to the RAF, the Duke of Cambridge will "complete a routine deployment to the Falkland Islands as part of a crew of four personnel during February-March 2012." The six-week assignment forms part of the prince's "training and career progression as a Search and Rescue (SAR) pilot," says the RAF.

The prince completed advanced helicopter training in January 2010.

Since the deployment is classified, the duchess will not be allowed to temporarily relocate with her husband, but we're sure the royal lovebirds will survive the short separation.

Good luck to Wills in his mission!
