A Glee costar, a bandmate and a hip-hop star who has worked with her have all sent love to the singer, who apologized to fans after she canceled an upcoming concert in Singapore to be with her loved ones.
So what messages are people sending to Charice?
"My thoughts and prayers go out today to my girl @officialCharice and her family for their terrible loss. Thinking of you Charice," Lea Michele tweeted earlier.
"Still in prayer for my baby sister and one of my best friends, @officialCharice," wrote her bandmate Troy Laureta.
"Waking up to sad news of my dear friend @official Charice Dad. my heart goes out to her family in the Philippines! Everyone say a prayer!" wrote hip-hop singer Unique Zayas, who has collaborated with the actress.
Charice's father, Ricky Pempengco, 40, was stabbed in an incident in San Pedro, a township south of Manila, after he bumped into another man by accident.
According to local police, the unidentified suspect, who was allegedly drunk, became enraged and stabbed Charice's father with an ice pick in the chest and back.
A manhunt is underway, with an award for information leading to the unidentified suspect's arrest.
Charice, 19, and her father have long been estranged.
"I loved him and will still love him. He's still my dad after all," she wrote on Twitter, later apologizing to her fans for missing two concerts.
