Kirstie Alley's "cougar maximus" romance rumors have officially been cleared up!
We've got the truth about what's really going on between the former Dancer With the Stars contestant and her much younger mystery man, Serge Onik, straight from the guy who introduced them.
Turns out that Alley's former Dancing With the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy hooked them up—but not for a love connection!
"Unfortunately as much as I would love to, I couldn't give Kirstie more time after the show was over," Chmerkovskiy told us last night at the Circle of Care Foundation's Ultimate Trunk Show benefit event at Mercedes of Beverly Hills.
"We're still close," he said.
So close, she's going to perform in Chmerkovskiy's Fall Classic taking place at Brooklyn's Grand Prospect Hall on Oct. 30. As our own Hollywood Party Girl reported earlier this week, Onik is not only helping Alley prepare for the event, but he's also one of Chmerkovskiy's students.
"I kind of gave him to her and they've been dancing ever since," Chmerkovskiy said.
"I think it's a wonderful, wonderful idea," he added. "I just wish that I could provide one of my amazing students to everybody that I've danced with that wants to continue."
Maks wasn't the only Dancing star out last night. David Arquette, Karina Smirnoff, Val Chmerkovskiy and Carson Kressley came out to support J.R. Martinez, who was being honored at the event with the Spirit of Hope Award for his inspirational work with burn victims.
