Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff Explains Postponed Wedding: "It's Just Impossible"

Reality TV hoofer talks juggling dance competition and planning her pending nuptials to fiancé Brad Penny

Karina Smirnoff has some rumor controlling to do.

Just yesterday, it was revealed that the Dancing With the Stars pro called off her upcoming January wedding to fiancé Brad Penny, causing talk that there might be trouble in paradise for the couple.

So what does Smirnoff have to say about it all?

They're doing just fine, thankyouverymuch.

"It's perfect," Smirnoff told E! News last night backstage at Dancing With the Stars. "It's just this season is going so well for me and [partner] J.R. [Martinez] and I want to be able to concentrate 100 percent here. And at the same time, concentrate on planning the wedding. So together, it's just impossible."

She added, "And Brad's been gone for two months playing in Detroit—he's just coming back tonight. So it's all good. We're just going to do it a little later."

Smirnoff and Penny have been engaged for nearly a year.
