Saying goodbye to Penelope and Gilly was hard enough, so we're glad to hear that we won't have to bid farewell to the woman who brought these characters to life—just yet anyway.

Although rumors are spreading around saying that this season of Saturday Night Live might be Kristen Wiig's last, E! News finds out that nothing of that sort has been confirmed.

Sources tell E! News that no SNL casting decisions have been made and won't be until the end of next summer.

Wiig has been climbing higher on the Hollywood totem pole after her comedic flick Bridesmaids (what's up with a sequel?), so it wouldn't be crazy to see the funnylady branch off from the late-night comedy sketch show and do her own thing on the big screen. Currently she's working on the movie Imogene with costars Annette Bening, Matt Dillon and Glee's Darren Criss.

Plus, PETA named her one of the sexiest celebrity vegetarians. That's a big deal!

But luckily, all that fame hasn't caused Wiig to desert us when we need some big laughs on a Saturday night. For now.
