Get ready for it.

Chris Colfer's big-screen movie debut, Struck by Lightning, is going to send you on an emotional roller coaster...

"It makes you cry and laugh," Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, who appears in Lightning alongside Colfer, Allison Janney, Dermot Mulroney and Sarah Hyland, told me this weekend at the Rape Treatment Center benefit. "It's very clever. It's very smart. He's just amazing. This guy can do anything."

Colfer also wrote the screenplay. "She's kind of a Goody Two-shoes," Hendricks said of her character. "She's a little naïve and hoping for the best but a little judgey too, a little judgmental. So she gets some surprises along the way."

Hendricks wouldn't mind a spin with Colfer over at his other job, too. "I would love to be on Glee," she said. "I sing a bit."

Hendricks made her musical stage debut in New York this spring opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Patti LuPone in a special three-night run of Company.
