"He still has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but we are so encouraged by the progress he continues to make daily. He is talking and visiting with family members and close friends who come to see him in the hospital, and is so grateful, as are we, for all the love, suport and prayers he has received."
Poueu, who is now working as a trainer at the Biggest Loser Fitness Ridge Resort in Malibu, was a contestant on season nine of the weight-loss competition.
He suffered the fall after attending a friend's birthday party. He headed up to the rooftop when the door locked behind him. He then tried to climb down a fire-escape ladder but during the attempt, he lost his footing a plummeted several stories, ending up in critical condition.
