The story of Elton John's life could be coming to a theater near you. And soon.

The famed musician and his partner, David Furnish, are reportedly working on creating Sir Elton's biopic, Rocketman, already written by their Billy Elliot collaborator Lee Hall.

So what would a movie about Elton John, as put together by Elton John, look like?

Well, the flick will reportedly document the highs and lows of his career, all through musical sequences, according to Entertainment Weekly

"We've always thought there was a wonderful cinematic opportunity to tell Elton's life story," Furnish told EW.

"But we wanted to wait until the time was exactly right. Elton feels very excited about doing it now. He's in a very happy place in life right now and thinks it's a good time to artistically reflect on the past."

It's too soon to tell exactly when the project will be ready for production, however.

While the script has been completed, the 64-year-old rocker and Furnish are still on the hunt for a director and the perfect actor to play Elton.

So, tell us, who would you like to see portray Sir Elton in his upcoming biopic?
