Toddlers & Tiaras Mom on Pageant Criticism: "It's Just So Much Crap!"

Six-year-old Toddlers & Tiara star Eden Wood paraded around in a halter top and short shorts during a toddler fashion show yesterday, but her mom, Micki, says her daughter isn't being sexualized or objectified.

"It's just so much crap!" she said Thursday after her Eden modeled and sang at the Cowgirl Riders Debutante Fashion Show, which was hosted by Real Housewives of New York City star and former model Kelly Bensimon.

"All I can say is the people in the pageant industry I know love their kids and would never do anything sexual or objectification or all those words running around," Micki added.

But how does Eden herself feel about it?

"I ask her on a weekly basis, 'Baby, are you sure this is what you want to do?' because we are out three weeks this trip and then home two and then out another two," she explained to us, adding that Eden replies: "Mom, I want to do it."

Eden has technically already retired from the pagaent scene to focus on acting and singing. Her mom also insists she doesn't push her young daughter and that she's fulfilling her "divine destiny." Oh, and she also gets spray tans.

"She is 6 and she ruled," her mom bubbled after Eden modeled Cicciabella fashions yesterday. "She ruled the place and as a mom, I can't teach her that. I can't force her to do that. That is something...she has that gift inside her. Just like maybe a Mozart and child prodigies...it just happens to be in the entertainment industry."

Eden's schedule is pretty packed for the next few months. This weekend, she's filming an appearance on Cake Boss, another TLC show, before heading back to L.A., where she'll work with a movie star.

"We're filming something for Funny or Die with Will Ferrell," Micki said, adding that Eden will start voiceover work on an animated movie in October and film yet another movie in November.

"Some things can only be divine destiny and I really feel like this is what Eden is supposed to be doing," her mom tells us. "I have no other explanation for it."
