Jeremy Piven and punk rock?! Definitely not the most likely combo to come across our desks.
But when Piven was recently asked about his favorite moments in music fashion, he says it was the antiestablishment rock scene, particularly the Clash and the late Plasmatics frontwoman Wendy O. Williams (above).
"I remember seeing Wendy O. Williams with this shock of blonde hair with a Mohawk, and she came out on stage in a muscle car and took out a chainsaw and cut the car in half," Piven told Fashion Rocks during a photo shoot for the mag. "That had a lot of influence on me as an artist."
Where exactly should we look for the influence? Would it be in his Ari Gold character on Entourage? Nah.
How about back in 2005, when he voiced Rock Rivers in Scooby Doo in Where's My Mummy? Um...
Oh, never mind.
Meanwhile, Ludacris said he'll never forget some fleshy fashion in music. "I can definitely say J.Lo, when she wore that green [Versace] dress" to the 2000 Grammys, he said. "That sticks out for me."
More recently, Luda had his eye on Rihanna's "Umbrella" video, "where she was buck naked, but was painted in all metallic. Now that's a fashion statement without having to wear any clothes."
