What's Happening to George Clooney's Face?

Star gets goofy while promoting his new film

Sure, George Clooney, attempted stranglings are one way to get your film some attention at the Venice Film Festival.

But grabbing people and mugging strangers for the camera? We're not sure the marketing department will get behind that as a long-range strategy for your film The Ides of March, which also stars Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Evan Rachel Wood.

...Unless it sells tickets. Which we're sure it will, so go for it. (Just don't strangle us, OK?)

Seriously, you have to admit  that the fun-loving actor is on some kind of a crazy-face making roll—maybe not reaching the abstract expressionism of Mel Gibson, but still undeniably A-list.

So go ahead, check out George looking daft in Venice. ...Or else.
