Emma Watson has left the building.

Well, at least Hermoine has.

The more we hear about Watson's upcoming flick, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the more it sounds like exactly what she needs to prove there's more to her than just Harry Potter...

"You better gird your loins," Perks actor Ezra Miller told me the other day while promoting his newest flick, Beware the Gonzo. "When it comes to Emma people just have no idea. People have no idea what they're in for. It's great!"

The movie is based on the 1999 young adult novel of the same name and includes frank talk about sex and drugs. "It's very much about how we manifest abuse," Miller said.

This isn't the first time we've been teased to brace ourselves. Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, who plays a victim of abuse in Perks, told us last month, "[S]he pushed the envelope in a different way than anyone's ever seen her."

Showing she's not only a family friendly Potter starlet isn't the only good thing to come out of the new flick. Watson is reportedly dating Perks actor Johnny Simmons.

Meanwhile, Miller says coming-of-age flicks could prove to be quite cathartic. He stars as high school outsider who stands up for his fellow misfits and outcasts in Beware the Gonzo (available on VOD on Thursday with a limited release in theaters on Sept. 9). "The great thing is that when you make an angry high school movie, you get to release a lot of your angry high school demons," he said. "Most people just hang onto them."
