Must Watch! Anderson Cooper Dissolves Into Giggles While Reporting on Gérard Depardieu's Urinegate

Composure certainly wasn't this CNN newsman's middle name last night, when he fought a losing battle to hold it together on-air in wake of pun-heavy story

Was infamous plane peer Gérard Depardieu flying on Incontinental Airlines? Did he create his own jetstream? Is he a native of the Urination? The answer to all of these, of course, is wee wee oui oui.

Hey, you try making those puns live on air and keeping a straight face. Because last night—much to the delight and amusement of his viewers—it all proved too much for the newest, well, golden boy of puns Anderson Cooper, who got more than a little potty while reporting on yesterday's bizarre celebrity news.

But don't take our word for it. This one you've got to see for yourself...

He almost lost it early on in the report—appropriately featured during the "Ridiculist" segment of Anderson Cooper 360—when he noted that fellow passengers on the plane were treated to the sight of a thespian thes-peeing (oh, Anderson), but the giggles really took hold of him after he tried to explain why the incident could've been much worse, had it not been No. 1 that Depardieu needed to relieve himself of.

"All I have to say is they should thank their lucky stars it wasn't Depar-two," he said, beginning a rapidly downward descent into a giggle fit. "Sorry. That made me giggle every time I read it."

The comment, which comes around the 2:30 mark, is followed by Cooper attempting to persevere and gather his composure, though hilariously to no avail.

"Depar-two," he repeated in between bouts of infectious giggles, going so far as to hold up two fingers so as to really drive the pun home. "I know you get it," he said, gasping for air.

"All right, sorry," he spit out as he wiped away tears after a nearly minute-long (losing) battle to keep it together.

"Sorry, this has actually never happened to me," he squeaked. "You always see this sort of thing on YouTube and you don't think it'll actually happen to you."

Famous last words. But it's OK, Anderson. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
