Sean Kingston is back—and he's ready to get to work.

"I feel excited to be back in the studio," a thin-downed Kingston told me at yesterday's Teen Choice Awards. "It's a blessing. I'm doing good. It's good to be out and I'm excited to be here."

Sure, the TCAs marked the rapper's first public appearance since his near-fatal Jet Ski accident about two months ago, but now it's time to get down to business...

Kingston said he would be going into the studio today to start work on his new album, which he hopes to release in the winter.

What does he have planned?

"I'm working with J.R. Rotem and a lot of other big producers," Kingston said. "I'm also working with Rihanna. We're working on some records together to put on my new album.

"During the recovery and my down time, I was like, I want to write songs,'" he said. "When I do music, it is my great escape."

Of his ordeal, he added: "It just makes you a better person. You look at stuff a lot different, you know what I'm saying?"
