So just how soon can we expect the cuties to start trying for kids of their own?
"I'm doing everything I can," Lachey joked while promoting his reality competition show, NBC's The Sing Off. "Trust me, it would make me happy. Family is very important. It's very important to us. and I'm sure that will be around the corner."
As for how married life is treating the twosome since their July 15 ceremony, the former boy-bander says, "It's great. Obviously we're still in the honeymoon period. Not much changed, which, for me, is a good thing. We've been together five years. We were very comfortable in our relationship before the marriage."
So any wedding day advice for E!'s own reality queen Kim Kardashian on her upcoming nuptials?
"I think I can safely say that I am not the one to give anyone marital advice," he said. "I'm sure that Kim and Kris [Humphries] will be just fine. She's got the whole reality thing figured out, so it should be seamless."
