When your father is already an Oscar-winning big-screen icon, it can definitely open the door to many opportunities in the movie world. But at the same time, it must be intimidating trying to venture out and make a legacy of your own.

Well, one young star is looking to do just that. So which celebrity kid is following in his dad's footsteps?

It's Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood!

While Scott has appeared as a supporting player in several of his father's films, like Invictus, Flags of Our Fathers and Gran Torino, he's finally making the leap to leading man.

According to Deadline, Scott is getting ready to topline The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3-D, a remake of the classic 1974 slasher film. (We're going to pretend the '03 remake with Jessica Biel didn't happen.)

At the moment, all that can be revealed about his character is his name, Carl, and that he's the male lead. But his chances of surviving sound relatively good: Producers are reportedly planning a trilogy with Eastwood as the focal point.

Somebody's got to make sure Leatherface is kept in check. And with those badass Eastwood genes, Scott sounds like just the person.
