What Simon Cowell wants, Simon Cowell gets. And right now, he wants more Mariah Carey.

The X Factor creator said back in April that Carey would have a small part in the U.S. show premiering in September, but now she may be headed for a more substantial, full-time gig with the reality competition.

So what would the singer be doing?

Originally, Carey was slated to mentor contestants for just an episode or two, but she may now be doing it  the entire season, reports EW.

"Now that she has had her babies, it's very possible that she will be involved in some way in the later stages of the show," a source told the site. "She has always said she wanted to work with the show, so it's something they will certainly be discussing ideas for soon."

The 41-year-old mother of twins' pregnancy had prevented her from becoming a judge on the show, Cowell told E!

"She's pregnant," he explained. "I would literally have to have the auditions in a maternity unit or something. Although now that I mention it, it's not a bad idea."

But the former American Idol judge has insisted Carey would still have a role on the live shows and that when he met her she was "on great form."

"She'll be involved in some form," Cowell said. "I literally adore her. I love her to bits."
