Has the Armenian Queen of Calabasas gone Minnesota Nice?
Kim Kardashian spent the Fourth of July in hubby-to-be Kris Humphries' hometown: Minnetonka, Minn. But it wasn't all farms and cornfields for this New York and Los Angeles-based couple, who spent the weekend partying on happening Lake Minnetonka (well, as happening as you can get in Minnesota) during the day and on land at night.
"All of Kris' friends and family in Minnesota really like Kim and enjoy when she visits," a Minneapolis native close to the couple tells us. "She is really sweet to Kris' family and has quickly bonded with them. Everyone had a really fun weekend."
So while Kris' fam approves of their future daughter-in-law, what does the reality TV-star think of spending time in her Midwestern man's hometown?
"Kind of obsessed with Lake Minnetonka! Boats & O's!!! RT @KrisHumphries: Kaptain K.," Kim tweeted Sunday. "Its like Vegas on the lake over here!...What's up to everyone on the big island in lake minnetonka!!!!!!"
The couple not only hit Lake Minnetonka, where they partook in water activities such as jet skiing, they also attended a party in downtown Minneapolis that Kris cohosted with his father at Seven Skybar.
"Kim spent most of the night in a VIP section, but she definitely interacted with Kris' friends and took pictures with fans whenever they asked," adds our Minnesota source. "Kim had her own friends there as well but was nice to all the locals."
The K-couple were also spotted at a Minnesota Twins baseball game Friday night and spent a lot of time hanging home at Kris' house on Lake Minnetonka.
But someone better warn the other Kris in Kim's life; her momager. We don't think Mama K would be all too pleased with her daughter's newfound love for the Midwest. Are we wrong here, Mama K?
A piece of advice to Humphries, less tweets like this: "How do I convince @KimKardashian that minnesota is better than L.A.?"
But we gotta say, we're all for a Kardashian wedding in the Midwest!
Forget Kourtney & Kim Take New York, we want to see Kim & Kris Take Minnesota!
