We'll get to what Kristin Chenoweth just told us about dating and dueting with Dolly Parton in a sec, but first we gotta tell you what the single songstress just told us about starting a family.

Yes, starting a family—with or without a man by her side.

"I'd like to do it with a partner," the Emmy-winner told us while promoting Wendy's Father's Day Frosty Weekend benefiting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. "I'd like to do it when I get married, but if that doesn't happen and I still feel that desire, I would definitely consider adopting. Absolutely." (Chenoweth grew up in Oklahoma after being adopted at birth).

As for what kind of guy she's looking for, Chenoweth (who most famously dated Social Network screenwriter Aaron Sorkin) says, "I get really turned off when men aren't as kind to others as I'd like them to be. They should be. That's something I look for. Somebody that's got their own gig going on. I don't mean wealthy, I just mean has ambition and/or has their own life. And loves me for me."

While the "I Want Somebody" singer says she doesn't know whether she'll be returning to Glee, she says she wouldn't mind recording with pal Matthew Morrison.

"Wouldn't that be fun?" she said. "So fun. He's so darling. What a good person."

And then there's her dream duet. "Dolly Parton!" Chenoweth said. "My favorite. I've met her several times and she's really special."

We couldn't agree more.
