Apparently, we've seen the last of Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn on jogging dates or having makeout sessions.
After a hot and heavy four months together, where they vacationed in Mexico and reportedly even starting shacking up, the two are already over, according to People.
And, according to one account, Sean's already moving on! So what gives?
Good question.
No one really seems to know, and both of their reps have declined comment.
Sean hit Cannes last month sans ScarJo and was spotted sharing an elevator with what the New York Daily News describes as two "super hot" babes at 4 a.m. in the south of France while in town promoting Tree of Life. But we aren't sure who they were or what the deal was between them and Sean. Neither he nor Scarlett has appeared in public in recent days.
Our theory? This odd couple (at 50 he's nearly double the age of the 26-year-old ScarJo) was so intense right from the get go that they probably couldn't sustain the passion in the long run.
Either that, or these two both like to play the field too much and just wanted to be single for the summer.
Can you really blame them?
