In honor of the late rapper, who was slain in a drive-by shooting earlier this month, Cali Swag District has released the tribute single "How to Do That."
The totally listenable tune samples the Inglewood, Calif.-bred group's biggest hit, "Teach Me How to Dougie," and features original in-memoriam lyrics from surviving members C-Smoove, Yung and JayAre.
"We gotta stay strong and keep our music going, keep our heads on right and just stay safe and stay off the streets," says C-Smoove. "M-Bone was the life and energy of our group. We'd have fun on stage because of him. We hope that fans will help us pay tribute to him by continuing to dance in M-Bone's memory."
A public funeral service is taking place Friday at 11 a.m. at Faith Central Church in Inglewood. The Inglewood Police Department is still asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
