Someone got a little too hot for her heat tonight on The Voice.
The point of the battle rounds on the NBC competition is, of course, to stand out opposite a member of your own team, in hopes that your superstar mentor will keep you around for the live round, which premieres June 7.
But don't stand out so much that you sound like a nutter...
Unfortunately, the charismatic Serabee went for a hostile takeover when she and her more subdued teammate Dia Frampton battled it out for Blake Shelton to the tune of the Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love."
"That was bizarre," noted Cee Lo Green.
And Blake agreed. After guest mentor Reba McEntire complimented Dia for staying true to herself while Serabee riffed away, Blake went with the humbler performer.
"Just because you can sing certain notes doesn't mean you should do it all the time," Blake reminded Serabee. "Dia, you looked uncomfortable. You probably were uncomfortable."
Maybe, but she's also moving on to the live round.
Joining her are former child actress Raquel Castro from Team Christina Aguilera, premed student Devon Barley from Team Adam Levine, and sister duo Tori and Taylor Thompson from Team Cee Lo Green.
Raquel, who played Ben Affleck's daughter in Jersey Girl and now is hoping to build a singing career at 16, bested Julia Eason with Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World." Devon took down on-the-go folk singer Rebecca Loebe after a surprisingly good duet on Radiohead's "Creep."
And the Thompson sisters took down pretty and self-possessed Kelsey Rey, who had to wait a long time for Cee Lo to make his decision. He took off his sunglasses and rubbed his eyes and everything!
The final battle round airs next Tuesday.
