For Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian, keeping up with her son Mason can be quite the workout in and of itself.

While chatting exclusively with E! News on the beach in Santa Monica over the weekend, Shape magazine's newest cover girl reveals that it isn't just the regular walks she takes with her one-and-a-half-year-old that helps her maintain that amazing figure...

"My morning today was so intense just hanging out with Mason," Kourtney said. "I got peed on. He spilled rice milk all over my kitchen floor, so I had to clean that up. There's so much activity, I think, especially with a little boy, that it does keep you in shape."

Which is probably a good thing since Kourt admits that going to the gym isn't exactly the easiest thing to do when you have your hands full bringing up a baby. Although, she does manage to briefly break away on occasion.

"One of my favorite things to do is go running early in the morning when everyone in my house is still sleeping," she said. "I throw on my iPod and it's like my time."

As for being asked to appear on Shape's latest issue, Kourtney was both "excited" and "honored."

"I think it's important to show other moms that you can get it back to what it was," she pointed out. "I think it takes a little bit of work and dedication."

And, of course, some assistance from one active little fella.
